88M Motor Transport Operator NCOER Duty Description Examples

Serves as Convoy Commander responsible for the safe and efficient movement of personnel and equipment in support of unit operations; Plans and executes convoy operations in accordance with FM 4-01.45 and unit convoy SOPs; Manages vehicle readiness and ensures all assigned vehicles meet operational readiness standards before mission execution; Enforces convoy safety standards including PMCS completion, load plans, and personnel protective equipment requirements; Maintains cargo accountability during all transportation missions and ensures accurate documentation of loads and deliveries; Trains subordinate drivers on convoy operations, vehicle maintenance, and emergency procedures
